a centralized "editorial" structure. Instead, The Count aligns with the core principles of Indigenous Autonomism, aiming to challenge and dismantle colonial and Euro-centric standards.

We are also committed to challenging the misconception that Indigenous experiences are exclusively defined by trauma. Within The Count, we aim to dismantle this narrative and provide a central space where contributors can share content that captivates their interests. We actively encourage a wide range of contributions, including cultural expositions, opinion articles, and exposés that delve into the multifaceted aspects of Indigenous experiences.

The Count celebrates the rich diversity of our cultures and perspectives, recognizing the immense value of showcasing resilience, humor, and difference of opinion within our communities. By fostering an environment that embraces various forms of expression, we aim to amplify our people's voices, allowing contributors to share their unique insights, cultural practices, and personal experiences. Through this collective effort, The Count aspires to challenge preconceived notions, broaden understanding, and foster a more nuanced understanding of Indigenous narratives.

The Count will also actively seek contributors who possess proficiency in First Nations languages, as well as languages such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, and other colonial languages that have pervaded our continent. Our aim is to ensure that the media published by The Count is accessible to a wide range of First Nations communities, as we believe access to knowledge is a basic human right.

Contributions to The Count will be characterized by spontaneity, inconsistency, and, above all, a recognition of their inherent imperfections. We embrace the unpredictable nature of the content that emerges, understanding that it reflects the diverse voices of NDN Country. We invite you to stay tuned as we navigate this ever-evolving journey, eagerly anticipating what's to come.
